One day after the massive 8.9 earthquake and tsunami which rocked Japan yesterday the world is starting to get an idea of the scope of the disaster. Officially around 600 people have died, but it is feared many hundreds more will be added to this tally. Roads, factories, airports and ports lie in ruin and this is hampering the rescue efforts. No to mention the Fukushima I nuclear powerplant going into meltdown mode. We wish the people of Japan a speedy return to their normal dignified lives.
